Itineraries

Day 01

Hanoi Arrival

You will be warmly welcomed upon arrival at airport in Hanoi and transferred to your hotel. You will have free time. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 02

Hanoi City Tour (B/L)

In the morning, you will visit Ho chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, President Palace. Continue your day at Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam. Then visiting the Tran Quoc pagoda dated back to early 10th century and is considered as the most ancient pagodas in Hanoi. After lunch at a local or Indian restaurant we keep driving to Hoa Lo prison museum – also known as the “the Hanoi Hilton”. Finish your day with a water puppet show - an unique Vietnam traditional art. Transfer back to your for relaxation. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03

Halong Bay Day Trip (B/L)

In the morning you will drive to Halong Bay City, approximately 3 hours away from Hanoi. Once at Halong Bay City, you will be welcomed on board for a four-hour cruise on the stunning bay, stopping along the way to visit one of the limestone caves in the area. As you are cruising, the boat crew will serve you a sumptuous local seafood lunch. After 4 hours, you will sail back to the harbor, rejoin car, and head back to your hotel for another night's stay in Hanoi.

Day 04

Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh (B)

Today you will leave Hanoi and take a flight to HCMC. In the afternoon, there will be a private tour of galleries, studios and boutiques, or a half day visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The Cu Chi Tunnels consist of more than 200km of underground tunnels and has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today, the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction, giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life was like during the U.S.-Vietnam War. You will stay overnight in HCMC.

Day 05

Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B/L)

Under the guidance of your local guide in Saigon, we set out on a city tour of the former capital of French Indochina, once known as Saigon. Historic landmarks include the Old Saigon post office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House, Dong Khoi Street and famous Ben Thanh market. Sample lunch at a nice restaurant. By the afternoon, you will visit China Town, The Thien Hau Pagoda. Round of your day with a visiting at Ben Thanh market. The evening is free at leisure. Dinner on your own.

Day 06

Ho Chi Minh – Siem Riep (B)

Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel check in. Afternoon, we continue to visit to Artisan D’Angkor, a handicraft center the Handicraft for the wood and stone carving processes. Continue visit to Wat Thmey or Killing Field, contains a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of cictims of the Khmer Rouge. Dinner at local restaurant with Apsara Dance Show. Overnight a the hotel in Siem Reap

Day 07

Siem Riep (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit to The South Gate of Angkor Thom: Bayon Temple, The Royal Enclosure, Phimeanaka, Elephant and Leper King Terrace. Continue visit to Ta Promh and the World Heritage of Angkor Wat- the “Seven Wonders of the world”. It is the most well-preserved temples among the Angkor monuments, well-known for its magnificent and detailed relief of the construction, also is the world’s largest temples. After lunch, visit to Thommanan, Chaosay Tevoda, Ta Keo: small, attractive temple in very good condition, build at the same time as Angkor Wat. Continue to Angkor Wat: The “7th Wonders’ of the World”. World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Continue visit to Bakheng Hill: Sunset viewing on the top of the hill. Bakheng is the first major temple to be constructed in the Angkor area; this temple-mountain offers extraordinary views of the Tonle Sap and Angkor Wat. At night, enjoy buffet dinner with Traditional Show. After dinner, visit to Night & Pub Street.

Day 08

Siem Riep (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit to Floating Village, take a ride by traditional wooden boat on Tonle Sap Lake to experience the human occupations at the edges of the lake is similarly distinctive – floating villages, towering stilled houses, huge fish traps, and an economy and way of life deeply intertwined with the lake, the fish, the wildlife and the cycles of rising and falling waters. In the wet season, the Tonle Sap Lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia. Afternoon, By car to the Pouk district about 15 Km in the West of Siem Reap town you visit the silk farm, a fascinating farm/workshop where you can see the entire silk creation process including growing the food for the silk worms, breeding the worms, silk extraction and refinement, traditional kit dying pattern creation and looming. Retail silk and souvenir shop. On the way back, visit the Western Baray (Baray Occidental) measuring 8 km by 2.3 km which provided water for the intensive cultivation of lands around Angkor.

Day 09

Siem Riep – Luang Prabang (B)

This morning, Visit the local market and Artisan Dangkor workshop. Free at own leisure until assemble time transfer to Airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to check in the hotel. You are then free to stroll around the town. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 10

Luang Prabang (B)

Today, you will first visit Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. We then embark on the a leisure cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On arrival back in the city, we will visit magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. Afterwards, we will visit the Traditional Art and Ethnology Center to learn about Laos’ many ethnic cultures. From there, we will transfer to visit Wat Siphouthabaht to admire the sunset; this is the really peaceful place to catch the last beauty of the day. The tour ends after a visit to the famous Night Market, where you can find a lovely collection of handmade textiles made by local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang Option: if time permits, you may wish to visit the Kopnoi Promotion Center, and enjoy the Tea tasting Ceremony, where you can also have a small lecture about Lao culture.

Day 11

Luang Prabang (B)

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession. From there, we will take a short visit to the morning local market near the Royal Palace. At the market, you can find anything from rice, to fresh vegetables, to steamed fish, frogs, and anything else that might be the day’s catch, just set up on the ground, this is what the locals do every day. This is really the chance for you to get a real flavor of the local culture. After breakfast at the hotel, we ascend the 329 steps to the top of Phousi Hill for a panoramic view of the city and the Mekong River. We then visit Wat Visoun, dating back to 1513 during the reign of King Wisunarat (Visoun), this is Luang Prabang’s oldest temple and was once home to the Prabang Buddhas. We then transfer directly to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. Before returning to Luang Prabang, we stop to visit the Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park (closed on Tuesday), one of the must-visit spots, where you can have an optional 15 minute tour to learn about butterflies and local flora. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, we will take a short visit to the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, where you will have a short tour so you get information about Silk, about weaver, about the Women that work in the Centre. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 12

Luang Prabang (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, your car and guide will take you to Elephant Village. On arrival, you will be welcome and greeting by the Camp Manager and participate in short briefing. After enjoying the impressive experience of approx. 30 minute elephant ride on the Howdah (Elephant seat).; you will then take a return boat trip to the Tad Sae Waterfall and spend some time in the clear water. Your lunch will be provided at the Elephant Village Restaurant (Buffet lunch served with Coffee or Tea and drinking water). We are free to stroll around before transferring back to the center. Along the way, we take a short visit to the tomb of the 19th century French explorer Henri Mouhot; the first European to rediscover Angkor Wat and the Royal Kingdom of Luang Prabang. We then transfer out to the airport to take the departure flight (after 04:00PM)
